About This Sydney Airport Parking Guide
This site exists to answer one practical question well: where do you park when you fly out of Sydney? We're based minutes from the airport, and we've built the guide around the actual choices travellers face at T1, T2 and T3.

Who runs this site
This is a Mascot-based parking guide covering Sydney Airport. We're located at 247 Coward Street, Mascot NSW 2020, and you can reach us on +61 2 9667 9111. Being local means the airport's parking layout is familiar ground rather than a map we read about.
We write for travellers comparing terminal-side parking against off-airport park and ride, and for anyone who'd rather sort the car before the morning of the flight. That includes the early-morning drop-offs, the late-night returns, and the trips where the car sits for a fortnight while you're somewhere else.

What we cover
The site covers the official terminal-side products, the off-airport park-and-ride operators in the market, and the rules that shape how you use them. The aim is a complete picture, not a partial one.
- P2 Car Park, P3 and Blu Emu, with how each connects to T1, T2 and T3
- FastPark and the valet handoffs, including Qantas Valet, T1 Premium Valet and T2 Premium Valet
- Off-airport park-and-ride operators such as Jet Park and Sydney Airpark
- Express Pick-up limits, the parking map rules, and where long-term and accessible parking fit
How we check parking information
Parking details change: products move, rules update, and new options appear. We work from the airport's own published parking information and the operators' current listings rather than memory. When we state a rule, it comes from that published source. Where a detail isn't published, we say so instead of guessing.
-
Primary source
Published airport information
Terminal-side products and their rules are checked against the airport's own published parking information, including the free Express Pick-up window and Blu Emu's free hour. That published map is the standard we hold the rest of the site to.
-
Checked per operator
Operator listings
For Jet Park, Sydney Airpark and the other off-airport operators, we read each operator's current listing: how transfers run, what a covered space means at that lot, and what a late return involves. Rates move, so we describe how each option works rather than tying advice to a number that may not hold.

Welcome
Your feedback
If you spot something that no longer matches what you see at the airport, tell us. Local feedback is how a guide like this stays accurate, and we treat it as part of the job rather than an interruption. Send corrections through the contact page and we'll check them against the source.
-
Stated, not guessed
Not published
Some details simply are not published anywhere, and prices at off-airport lots are quoted at the time you book. Where that happens we mark it plainly rather than fill the gap with a figure we cannot stand behind.
Hover or tab through a row to isolate it — the other lines dim so one entry reads at a time.
What separates a good choice from an average one
A parking decision isn't just about the rate. It's about four things that decide how the trip actually feels, and travellers who check them tend to be happier with their choice than those who compare price alone.
Check before you book
- Distance to your terminal. A lot two minutes from T1 can be twenty from T3. Terminal matters more than postcode.
- Whether the shuttle runs when you need it. Early departures and late returns are where transfer gaps show up.
- Whether the space is covered. Hail and summer sun both leave marks on a car that sits out for a week.
- How the lot handles a late return. Delayed flights happen. Ask what the collection process looks like after midnight.
Common mistakes we see
The same four mistakes come up again and again. Each is avoidable with one check before leaving home, which is why we'd rather head them off here than fix them on the day.
-
Wrong terminal
Booking for T1 when you fly domestic, or the reverse. T1 and the domestic side aren't interchangeable, and the walk between them isn't short.
-
Waiting in the pick-up zone
Treating Express Pick-up as a waiting area rather than a 15-minute window. The area is for collecting someone who's already kerbside.
-
Assuming the shuttle
A lot being open doesn't mean its shuttle is running. Check the operating hours for your arrival and return, not just the opening hours.
-
Peak-period timing
Underestimating how fast peak-period spaces fill. School holidays and Friday mornings are where the terminal car parks tighten up first.
How we handle updates
When a parking product changes or a rule is revised, we update the relevant page rather than leaving stale copy in place. Our pages are written to age well: they describe how options work rather than tying advice to a rate that may move by the time you read it.
Three habits keep the guide current. First, we date the substance rather than the page: rules, transfer arrangements and terminal details are what get re-checked, because those are what change. Second, when a product is renamed, moved, or withdrawn, we rewrite the affected page and cross-link the replacement instead of appending a note. Third, we separate what we know from what we don't — if a lot hasn't confirmed its peak-period process, the page says so.

Send us a correctionHow to use the site
Four pages do most of the work. Start where your question actually is, rather than reading the whole guide in order.
- Terminal Access Guide T1 T2 T3 Start here if you're unsure which side of the airport you need, or how the walk, shuttle or valet handoff works at each terminal. If terminal is unclear
- Parking Options Compared Move here when you're ready to weigh terminal-side against off-airport park and ride, with the trade-offs written out row by row. If comparing options
- Pre-Book vs Drive-Up Guide Read this if you're deciding whether reserving ahead is worth it for your dates, and what actually differs at the barrier. If deciding when
- Valet and Shuttle Transfers Choose this when you're weighing handing the keys over against parking and riding a shuttle, and want the differences in plain terms. If weighing handoff
Each row carries a ring: filled means the page you're on, hollow means there's more to read. Where you land next is up to what you still need to know.
Send us your trip and we'll help
Tell us the date, the terminal and how long the car stays, and we'll point you at the options that fit. If you already know which parking option you want, the comparison page carries the detail you need to book it directly.
